Finns Bring Home Less Booze and Tobacco
Finns travelling abroad are bringing both less alcohol and tobacco home with them. A survey by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira) shows that between January and August of this year, personal imports of alcoholic drink were down by 6% and of tobacco product by 20% from the same period of 2009. yle.fi |
Nokia Water Utility Employee Faces Charges of Involuntary Manslaughter
The police investigation into the contamination of the municipal water system of the town of Nokia has been completed. An employee of the local water utility is under suspicion of two counts of involuntary manslaughter in the case dating back to late 2007.
